The Milwaukee Bucks are transforming the 2021 NBA Championship Court from Fiserv Forum into collectibles for the public.
The Bucks are launching an NBA Reclaimed Program in partnership with NBALAB, the innovation hub of the NBA, and Artsman, a craftsmen company. The program will transform the team’s 2021 NBA Championship Court into collectibles for gifting, giveaway, and retail purchase.
To kick the program off, the first 10,000 fans at Saturday’s 7 p.m. game against the Orlando Magic will receive an authentic wood block made from the Championship Court along with a Certificate of Authenticity.
The Bucks have designed a variety of items like iconic moments limited edition prints and decorative prints that are all produced from the court. The Bucks will roll out one key-shot moment print every two weeks, and there will only be 50 of each available.
"We've put a lot of care and a lot of craftsmanship into building each one of these pieces. We're very proud to be working with the Bucks and we're really proud of these products," said Chris Rose, Director of Product Development at Artsman.
Other items will include cuff links, pendants, and bottle openers made from the court. New pieces will be added throughout the season, including furniture items like end tables or bar tops.
The first round of items will be priced from $75 to $550. An additional Championship Moments collection will be released separately.
“Our fans played such an important role for us in winning the NBA championship, so we are excited to offer them the opportunity to own a piece of history by transforming the 2021 NBA Championship court into cherished keepsakes,” said Michael Belot, Senior Vice President of the Milwaukee Bucks Ventures and Development at a press conference Friday.
Officials said the reclaim program seeks to tell the stories of the court and moments that highlight the different NBA teams. This is one of the first NBA Reclaimed programs to be launched.
"Every court has a story to tell, and this one has a very particular story which is that the fans really love these moments, and there's nothing like history in sports that really brings the moments," said Rose.
